PBS
This Medicare Australia - PriMeD PBS education module
is our first online learning platform designed specifically for existing practitioners.
- Improve your understanding of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) at your convenience
- Units take about 15 minutes to complete
- Can be taken as stand-alone units or as part of logical clinical workshops
- 17 units including:
- how new medicines are listed on the PBS
- the various legislative requirements when writing PBS prescriptions
- what prescribers need to know for patients travelling overseas
- what patients are not eligible for a PBS subsidy
The PBS education is offered free of charge and is accredited with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners quality assurance and continuing professional development program.
Learning modules attract:
- two points per hour, category 2
Group learning modules are also accredited with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine professional development program, 2.5 points.
